Dear School Administrator/Faculty,

 

In an effort to assist Class of 2017 graduates attending Meridian Community College this fall, we wanted to share the following information with you. We are currently registering incoming students to attend summer orientation (registration) sessions, as well as finalizing scholarships, housing, and admission requirements.

 

Registration for MCC Gold/Honors Orientation is now open to all Class of 2017 students with an ACT composite score of 20 or higher at www.meridiancc.edu/orientation. A copy of the invitation is attached. Please help us by sharing this information with your students, if possible.

 

Please encourage your students to contact our office with any questions or concerns. We're happy to help, and we thank you for your continued support in helping these future Eagles succeed!

 

 

It's time to apply to Meridian Community College and prepare for the Fall 2017 semester!

 

Need help with the steps below? Respond back to this email (recruiting@meridiancc.edu) or call 601-553-3440.

 

Step 1: Apply for Admission for the Fall 2017 semester:

·        Complete your application for admission online, or

 

·        Print the attached PDF, completed and signed, and submit it to the Office of Admissions at 910 Hwy 19 N Meridian, MS 39307

 

·        Send your ACT score report to Meridian Community College (our ACT school code is 2210)

o   Students with an ACT composite score of 20 or higher should plan to attend MCC Gold Honors Orientation April 7, 2017. Click here to register.

 

Step 2: Apply for Scholarships and Other Financial Aid:

·        All students should complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) as early as NOW using tax information from 2015

 

·        For Mississippi residents, complete the Mississippi Tuition Assistance Grant (MTAG) application

o   Mississippi resident students with an ACT composite score of 29 or higher with a 3.5 GPA or higher should also complete the Mississippi Eminent Scholars Grant (MESG)

 

·        Any 2017 graduate of a high school in Meridian or Lauderdale County (public or private), or any person residing in Lauderdale County who is home-schooled should also complete and return the 2017 Tuition Guarantee Contract (attached).

 

·        Students outside of Lauderdale County with an ACT composite score of 20 or higher should also print and complete Meridian Community College's President, Dean, and Eagle Scholarship Application

Step 3: Apply for Housing (if applicable)

·        All students interested in living on campus should print and complete the Residence Hall Application (don't forget about our new residence hall under construction now!)

 

o   Once you have completed the housing application, check the information and make sure the application is filled out completely. We encourage you to keep a photocopy of your application and your deposit check for your records.

 

o   Return this housing application with a check or money order for $100 (USD) to the address below. Checks and money orders should be made payable to "Meridian Community College." No cash, please. The $100 is a required security deposit. All applications received without the $100 deposit will be returned.

Step 4: Register to Attend Eagle Nation Registration (Summer Orientation)

·        Registration is a campus event designed to prepare new students for a successful transition to life at Meridian Community College. New students are introduced to campus services and resources, and time is allotted for questions regarding financial aid and campus housing.  Additionally, new students are guided through their first academic advisement and course registration experience. All new degree-seeking students are required to attend a registration session.  

 

Fall 2017 New Student Eagle Nation Registration Sessions dates are available now for sign up at www.meridiancc.edu/orientation.
