Good Morning,

I trust everyone is doing well today. I am sending this email to inform everyone of an opportunity available to students in their sophomore or Junior Year. I took a little bit of time since hearing about this program last week to see if I could track down any fliers, but all the details of the program are available on the website at SLCDA.marines.com.

The Academy dates are on the 15th through the 20th of June and the course itself does not cost anything to those students who are selected to participate. Travel funds may also be requested for students who may have difficulty funding their own travel.

The key elements of this training include the introduction of students to Marine Corps Leadership principles and scenario-based training which is designed to take students outside of their comfort zones to assist them in training their ability to make decisive decisions, even under stress. There is no obligation to the Marines from students who attend this course, but even for those who may not be interested in Military Service; it can make a great resume builder.

If you have any students you would like to nominate or any who may be interested, please direct them to the website (SLCDA.marines.com) so that they may submit their applications. The deadline for applications is January 31st.

If you have any questions, feel free to reach back out to me.
