Counselors, senior teachers/sponsors, and campus administrators – please consider helping us share the information below with your Class of 2018 students with an ACT of 20+ planning to attend MCC next fall!

Congratulations, Class of 2018 Senior!

Because of your high academic achievement and composite ACT score of 20 or higher, you are cordially invited to priority registration to attend MCC Gold/Honors Orientation at Meridian Community College Friday, April 27, 2018 beginning at 8am with tours and 9am for general assembly in McCain Theater.

We will provide a letter of attendance to take back to your high school for consideration as an official "College Day".

*You do not have to be participating in the Phil Hardin Foundation Honors College or have a specific major/plan of study in order to attend this session. This priority registration event is simply a reward for your ACT score of 20+!*

The event is designed to prepare incoming students for a successful transition to life at Meridian Community College. New students are introduced to campus services and resources, and time is allotted for questions regarding financial aid and campus housing.  Additionally, new students are guided through their first academic advisement and course registration experience, meaning you can walk away from this session with your Fall 2018 class schedule in hand!

Don't worry – we'll also send you home with a free MCC t-shirt and other fun stuff – just be sure to RSVP before the deadline of March 23.

*      Submit your highest ACT showing a 20+ composite score to the Office of Admission

*      Submit a partial high school transcript no later than March 23, 2018 to the Office of Admission (we will also need a final transcript once you actually walk across the graduation stage)

*      RSVP to attend no later than March 23 (spots are filling quickly – RSVP today to reserve your spot!)

*      Don't forget – you can begin the Financial Aid process of applying for FAFSA now at www.FAFSA.gov!

*      As a reminder:

o   Eligible students within Lauderdale County with an ACT score of 21+ qualify for an additional $600/per semester scholarship on top of Tuition Guarantee

o   Eligible students outside of Lauderdale County (Mississippi residents) with an ACT score of 20-24 qualify for a half-tuition scholarship; ACT scores of 25+ qualify for a full-tuition scholarship.
