MCC Tuition Guarantee Appication

If you are going to MCC, YOU MUST FILL OUT THE TUITION GUARANTEE APPLICATION in order to qualify for the tuition guarantee. You must also complete your FAFSA and MAAPP!

MCC- Honors College

IF you are planning on going to MCC and meet the following qualifications, you need to apply for Honors College. Press the link to apply. https://meridiancc.edu/programs/honors_college/application_honors.html

Admission requirements
Incoming freshmen  

  • University Transfer
  • ACT composite score of 24 or better
    No sub scores less than 19
  • High School GPA of 3.5
  • College GPA 3.25, if applicable
  • Two letters of recommendation


Honors Diploma Requirements

To graduate with a diploma from The Phil Hardin Foundation Honors College, students must complete at least four academic, traditional courses (3 credit hours or above). Hours earned for the leadership course will count towards this requirement. Furthermore, students must stay in the Honors College for a minimum of one year to meet the requirements to graduate with an Honors diploma. 

In addition, students must:

  • Complete at least one honors class per semester
  • Complete one Honors Forum class per semester unless otherwise approved by the co-directors
  • Complete required leadership course
  • Complete a cumulative total of 20 hours of documented community service
  • Maintains a 3.25 GPA
  • Maintain full-time status

To help first-generation, low-income, and minority students access and complete college, The Sallie Mae Fund, the charitable arm of Sallie Mae®, has again partnered with Thurgood Marshall College Fund to offer scholarships through its Bridging the Dream Scholarship Program.

The Bridging the Dream Scholarship for High School Seniors
The Sallie Mae Fund will award (25) $10,000 scholarships to high school seniors who plan to enroll in a two- or four-year degree professional certificate, or vocational training program. Seniors who excel inside and outside of the classroom and demonstrate financial need can

The Completing the Dream Scholarship
The Sallie Mae Fund will award (185) gap scholarships worth up to $2,500 each to minority students and those from underserved communities who are on track to graduate but are at-risk of not completing due to financial emergency or unpaid school bill. Students can

Happy New Year from our Boys State Staff! I hope this email finds you rested from the holiday break and energized to help your students achieve success. I am reaching out to you regarding the American Legion's Boys State program - the premier leadership program for rising seniors in Mississippi. Our program's application is now live at https://msboysstate.com/applytoday/. The included attachment contains information and guidance for getting your top students to the 2022 session of the American Legion's Boys State program. Our staff is eager to meet and work alongside this next class of young leaders.


The most important information is that this session is only open to young men between their junior and senior high school years. We will once again be hosted at the University of Mississippi from May 29th - to June 4th. The application deadline is May 6th, 2022. Doodle for Google

The contest opens January 11th and goes through March 4, 2022. 54 students will be named winners for their state/territory. Four finalists will win a $5000 scholarship and one student will receive:
-$30,000 college scholarship
-$50,000 Google for Education technology package for their school
- Their artwork will be placed on the Google homepage for the day
