Enclosed is information about a scholarship opportunity.  They give fall 2016 as the starting date, but i'm assuming they intended 2017.  Please communicate with students regarding this opportunity.

Dear Guidance Counselor or Principal:

 

The Phi Gamma Delta chapter at Mississippi State University is sending you information in regards to our Toward Excellence Scholarship.  This is the fifth year that we have offered this scholarship and we hope that with your help this year will be even more successful than the previous years.

 

This $1,000, $500, and $250 scholarship is available to any male attending Mississippi State University in the fall of 2016. The applicant is under no obligation to join any organization to be eligible for consideration. We at Phi Gamma Delta are seeking to recognize outstanding individuals in the areas of academics, athletics, school involvement, and community service. 

 

Included is a copy of the application for your convenience.  Please distribute this to your graduating seniors who are applying to Mississippi State University.  All materials are due by July 1^st.

 

Decisions regarding finalists and phone interviews of finalists will both be conducted in the month of July.  Further information regarding time and place of interviews will be delivered once we have finalized our selections.
